Your great pics from your digital camera are way to big and file heavy.. how to fix? In a nutshell-
1) keep your original large file.. its great to print large pictures and/or posters later.. so make a seperate folder for "Net Fixed" pics and "copy" your favorite pics there.
2) working in your net pics folder- open each picture in whatever picture editor you have.. paint shop, adobe photo, etc and "resize" or "resample" the pic to where it looks normal sized (just like holding the photo) and fits in your window nicely. Make sure you are looking at it in normal view mode, not a ratio/zoomed.. (check "view" from top toolbar). Save the file in that best size. On the top menu of any editor program, remember "Edit-Undo" is a lifesaver.
3) use any image cruncher you have or just come to this page and "crunch" the now good sized image. Right click on the shrunk percentage thats the smallest without distorting the image. You should be dropping from a picture size that originally may have been anywhere from 350kbs & up, down to at least under 100 kbs, hopefully under 50 kbs.
4) Now you can email or upload or share in albums or webpages with much faster load. ;)
